Junior A Football Championship Begins Tomorrow!

The North Cork Junior A Football Championship begins this weekend with Kilshannig and Ballyclough clashing in the opening round tomorrow Sunday, 11th May in Doneraile at 3pm. This will be expected to be a close encounter considering the sides met in the last two seasons that left little between each other. In 2012, Ballyclough triumphed in the quarter final stages with a 2-05 to 0-09 victory before going on to claim the North Cork title. However,Kilshannig gained some revenge in 2013 when coming out on top in the quarter final with a last minute Colm O'Dea penalty securing a 3-09 to 2-10 win. Kilshannig though bowed out to Buttevant in the semi final stages and they will be anxious to put that right this year. The winners will advance to the quarter final stages while the losers will have to go through the back door route where they will face the losers of Killavullen and Liscarroll.
