Kilshannig got off to a winning start in the Division 2 Hurling League with a convincing victory over Kildorrery at Kildorrery on Saturday afternoon. The scoreline tells the story of a contest that Kilshannig were in complete control throughout dominating in every sector. Pa Cronin was excellent in defence with Damien Murphy impressing in midfield while Roddy O'Mahony, John Quinn and Kevin O'Flynn caused plenty of trouble in attack. O'Flynn, Diarmuid O'Sullivan and Damien Murphy all struck fine points while John Quinn's goal moved Kilshannig 1-8 to 0-2 ahead at the half time whistle. Kilshannig's superiority continued after the break keeping the home side scoreless in the second period while they extended their lead adding a further nine points. Tadhg O'Sullivan and O'Flynn had the pick of the scores as Kilshannig eased to victory.
