Kilshannig 1-17 Ballyhea 0-07
Kilshannig made it three wins in a row with a deserving 13 point victory over Ballyhea in their Division 2 Hurling League meeting at Glantane last Sunday. Kilshannig made light of a poor first half display, trailing 0-6 to 0-4 at half time, to overpower their opponents with a strong second half performance to run out convincing winners. Ballyhea had the aid of the breeze in the opening period and were more efficient in front of goal while Kilshannig struggled to make the most of their opportunities to trail by two at the break. The home side though improved after the resumption and they took over completely. Killian O'Hanlon fired over a number of excellent points to move his side ahead as Kilshannig were simply too strong with Conor Casey, Ian Twomey and Tadhg Twomey excellent in defence. With Kilshannig totally dominant entering the final quarter, Diarmuid O'Sullivan and Dylan O'Callaghan pointed to widen the winning margin while Cian Nagle added a goal late on as Kilshannig eased to a comprehensive victory.
