Kilshannig continued their championship preparations on Saturday evening last when accounting for Grange in their Division 1 Football League clash at Glantane. While the wet conditions made life difficult for both teams, Kilshannig were relatively comfortable winners despite a tough contest from the visitors. Both teams were slow to get into their stride it was Kilshannig who eventually began to set their stall out with Ian Twomey, Frank McCarthy, Darragh Mahoney and Darren O'Riordan all impressing. In a low scoring tie, O'Riordan, Mahoney, Tadhg O'Sullivan and Michael Twomey all managed to hit the target to leave the home side 0-8 to 0-3 ahead at the break. Grange fought back well at the beginning of the second half but struggled for scores as Kilshannig remained in full control. O'Riordan added to his tally while Killian O'Hanlon had a couple of late points to ensure a well deserved victory.
