Well done to our minor hurlers who were victorious in their Rebel Og North Minor A Hurling League Final against Keale Gaels (Millstreet/Dromtarriffe) in Mourneabbey on Wednesday evening. A goal inside the final ten minutes from Diarmuid O'Sullivan proved crucial before centre back Kieran Twomey hit an injury time winner from a 65 to secure a 1-12 to 0-14 win. Well done to the players and management. We now qualify for the County League Final where we will meet the winners of St.Catherine's and Kilbrittain.

Kilshannig 1-12 Keale Gaels 0-14

Kilshannig claimed the Rebel Og Minor A Hurling League title with a narrow one point victory over Keale Gaels in Mourneabbey on Wednesday last. In a close encounter throughout, the Millstreet/Dromtarriffe side were slightly on top but a strong finish from Kilshannig proved the difference in the end. Keale Gaels went into the lead in the opening period but a number of late points from Jack Kearney and Jack Twomey tied the sides at the break, 0-7 each. Keale Gaels pushed on once more in the second half to move three ahead, 0-12 to 0-9. Kilshannig though battled hard to keep themselves in contention with Kearney and Conor Sexton pointing before a Diarmuid O'Sullivan goal seven minutes from time put his side a point in front. Kilshannig defended superbly in the closing stages but Keale Gaels drew level once more with a free. It was all to play for entering injury time and it was Kilshannig who forced themselves ahead. O'Sullivan's point attempt was deflected for a 65 leaving the nerveless Kieran Twomey to fire over to secure victory for his side. Kilshannig now progress to the county league final facing East winners St.Catherine's.
